“Support from charitable trusts, foundations and other grant-making organisations enables Seamab to deliver sector leading care and education for our children at their home and school in Rumbling Bridge, Kinross-Shire.”
This source of charitable income makes a tangible difference to our beneficiaries’ lives. For example, grants help us to:
- provide an all-encompassing wrap round support structure delivered with love; ensuring the child is instrumental in how this is shaped and delivered.
- provide enhanced care, educational and psychological support.
- ensure that when our children transition from Seamab, they are in the best possible position to manage this significant life event effectively.
- ensure we have the relevant resources to bring about this change.
In addition to project funding, unrestricted grants allow us to direct funding to areas of greatest need. We simply couldn’t carry out our work without the support we receive from charitable trusts, foundations and other grant-making organisations. We are so grateful to The Robertson Trust, The RS MacDonald Charitable Trust and The Gannochy Trust for providing grant funding to meet the salary costs of our Psychologist position. The generosity and commitment of our donors ensures that no matter what challenges our children face, we can offer the best care and education possible and enable them to maximise their potential and quality of life.
We have a dedicated Grants Manager who works closely with charitable trusts, foundations and other grant-making organisations. We aim to collaborate with our donors to discuss potential funding options, ensure grants are spent appropriately and terms and conditions are met, allow for the exchange of ideas and expertise, report back to Trustees regularly and develop mutually beneficial partnerships. We also encourage donors to visit Seamab to experience our warm and loving environment, helping our children to enjoy full and meaningful lives.
