Christmas for children in care can be a difficult time and for some, it is a time that they do not look forward to as it can be a trigger to thinking about traumatic experiences and a sense of loss.
At Seamab, our team goes above and beyond, especially during Christmas, to ensure these children experience the love and joy they deserve. Our goal is simple: to make every child feel cherished and cared for during this special time of year.
Please help our team to spread joy and hope this Christmas by becoming a Seamab Secret Santa. A donation will buy a gift hand-picked for one of Seamab’s children, meaning you too can help create some special memories for a child in care this Christmas.
- £5 would gift a book, pens, or fidget toy
- £10 would buy a soft toy, card game or football
- £50 would gift a big Lego set, computer game, or science kit
- £100 would buy an experience day, scalextric, or children’s telescope
Let me share Nathan’s story with you. When Nathan, aged 10, came to Seamab in January 2022 he had never liked Christmas. For as long as he could remember, he had spent Christmas in different foster placements. Last year, the team at Seamab encouraged him to join in with making Christmas decorations, attending the Christmas party and he decided to ask Santa for a Quadcopter Drone. He was thrilled to wake up on Christmas morning to see that his wish had come true.
Your donation will truly make a significant impact to a child, like Nathan.
Any gift, big or small, will help create a Christmas filled with joy for our children.
